We met way back on June 16th, 2016 when Kacey went to help Thomas out at one of his work sites. Immediately clicking, laughing, joking, and talking non-stop. They were fast work friends which quickly transitioned to being friends outside of work going to see Maren Morris and Eric Church at Red Rocks (Thomas still remembers taking off their boots during "Our Boots" and accidentally went the wrong way taking Kacey home just to prolong the hanging out.)

In October of 2019, Kacey was at Oktoberfest in Munich and texted Thomas if he could do her a huge favor. Thomas responded of course, thinking that a light was left on at her apartment or something needed to be checked in on. Kacey instead asked him if he could just tell her that he didn't like her.

On December 31st, 2019 Thomas asked Kacey to hang out before spending NYE with friends. They went to a restaurant in the Highlands before going to Denver Beer Co for their favorite beer! Once at the brewery Thomas asked Kacey which century she would rather start dating in and the rest is history.
